BEING SAFE AND SECURE - TIPS
Making sure everything goes great for you. Our entire system is designed with safety as our number one priority. We make sure our drivers are fully-vetted before we let them take rides. We do everything we can to make our in-app safety features the best possible. We worked with law enforcement to put together these tips in an effort to keep all of our passengers safe, secure and sound.
Be sure you know exactly where you’re going before you request any rides with "uNowRide". Be sure to familiarize yourself with the safety tips and tools within the app before you ride.
With "uNowRide's" GPS location identification, you don’t have to be concerned about looking outside for your ride. Stay indoors at your pickup location whenever possible and you’ll be notified when your driver has arrived.
Double check the "uNowRide" app for the driver’s vehicle information, license plate number, and profile photo so that you can know you’re getting into the right car. Never get into the car with a driver unless you have already matched with them with the "uNowRide" app.
Relax and sit in the back whenever you can. It feels elegant and is safer for you and the driver. You’ll be able to get out on either side of the car and you’ll stay out of each other’s personal space.
Seat belts are undeniably the best thing anyone in a vehicle can use for saving lives and reducing injuries, in case of an accident. Buckle up and stay alive!
Sharing your "uNowRide" status only takes a couple of taps from within the app. This lets your friends and family know all of the details about your location and ride. They get a continuous view of your trip and ETA until your ride is over.
All communications between you and the driver will take place through the "uNowRide" app which can keep your phone numbers and personal information anonymous. You could become friends on the road, but you should do your best to protect your private information.
Use your intuition and good judgment whenever riding with "uNowRide". Most people can tell when something seems wrong. Use that intuitive sense to determine if you need to contact us or 911 in the case of an emergency. Don’t hesitate to contact "uNowRide."
Treat others like you’d want to be treated. Just treat everyone with kindness and respect. We’re all apart of a larger "uNowRide" Community and the more we honor & respect each other, the better things are for everyone.
